University of North Carolina School of Arts Settles Sexual Abuse Lawsuit for $12.5 Million
Sixty-five former students described “a stunning array of abuse at the school” in their 236-page complaint, which stated that beginning in the late 1960s, dozens of teachers and administrators, including some of the most respected figures in the dance and performing arts world, participated in, or allowed, their sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, as well as conditions that persisted for the next 40 years.
